C2 & The Brothers Reed released its latest album, Weigh Station Tour: Exit A, and the band is travelling across the country to promote the album. Prior to heading to the High Country, C2 & The Brothers Reed will perform at the Asheville Music Hall & the One Stop on Thursday – before heading to Virginia and Alabama.

Opening up for C2 & The Brothers Reed is Swim in the Wild, an eclectic band based out of Charlotte.

On Friday, C2 & The Brothers Reed and Swim in the Wild will play at Murphy’s Restaurant and Pub. The show is part of the High Country Heroes Series, a music program that the bar’s music manager John Rush promotes during the harsh winters in Boone. Sam Calhoun, who has been promoting festivals in Southern Appalachia for more than a decade, is co-promoting the Murphy’s show.

On Saturday, the two bands will play at Beech Mountain Resort’s Beech Tree Bar and Grille and is apart of the resort’s impressive lineup that marketing director Talia Freeman has scheduled this past winter. Freeman has booked Acoustic Syndicate, Yo Momma’s Big Fat Booty Band and The Nappy Roots this winter to name just a few bands on a mission to entertain the winter enthusiasts on the slopes.
