Hardin Park students are OK this morning after a four-door sedan collided with a school bus this morning before school hours. The bus was making a left turn off of King Street onto Council Street when the sedan crashed into the side of the bus in the middle of the intersection.
According to Watauga County Schools spokesman Marshall Ashcraft, no students or drivers were hurt in the accident. Students were checked by emergency personal for precaution before being transported to Hardin Park on another bus.
The damaged bus was driven from the crash scene and will be assessed for repairs.
The intersection has since been cleared by the Boone Fire Department and Boone Police Department report that traffic is back to normal.
Investigators with the Boone Police Department are continuing their investigation of the incident.
