BSG and the Principles of Fundraising class at Appalachian State University hold a fundraiser for Veterans at the “Honor A Veteran” event at Appalachian Mountain Brewery on Wednesday, April 12 at 6 p.m.
In one way or another, each of you has a connection to someone who fought in previous wars or is currently serving in our Armed Forces. This is the 4th year Blood, Sweat, and Gears has hosted veterans for their rides and this year for their Beech Mountain Metric ride on May 20th, they are expanding the opportunity to 5 Veterans who use cycling as rehabilitation from physical and mental injuries from war.
BSG has waived their entry fee, covered the cost of the jerseys, and is providing food and housing for them. What we need is your help to get them to and from the high country so that their only worry is to focus on getting ready for this ride that means so much to them! Here’s how you can help:
- Fundraising Event, “Honor A Veteran”, Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 at Appalachian Mountain Brewery! AMB is hosting a share night where 10 percent of every pint sold will go to the Veterans!
- Raffle during fundraiser with prizes from lots of awesome local businesses in Boone!
- For the month of April, Appalachian Mountain Brewery is featuring Blood, Sweat, and Gears as one of their Pints for Non-Profits!
Just by coming and supporting the “Honor A Veteran” event, you will be giving back.
If you are not able to stop by AMB on April 12, donations can be mailed to:
P.O. Box 467 Sugar Grove, NC 28679
Make checks payable to BSG Events. In the memo mention, “Honor A Veteran”
