BRAHM to Present 2017 Blowing Rock Church Tour, Takes Place on Saturday, June 10

The Blowing Rock Art and History Museum is bringing an event to the High Country to appeal to people from all walks of life. Whether you attend church on Saturday or Sunday, or not at all, the Blowing Rock Church Tour is for everyone! Regardless of denomination, the church tour, starting at 12:30 p.m., will offer residents from all over the High Country the opportunity to tour various churches throughout Blowing Rock to learn the histories and interiors of each of them.

These tours are self-guided, so anyone participating can move at their own pace, able to choose how long they remain in each church. The histories of each of the churches are important to learn about and understand because Blowing Rock, over the years, has been formed and shaped by the many different religions and congregations that find their home in the beautiful town. With so many stunning and unique churches throughout Blowing Rock, this tour is the perfect opportunity to take a moment to get to know each one more in depth than ever before.

Several of the churches will be holding musical performances, but the end of the tour will end at BRAHM, in the Atrium, with a live concert by the choir at St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Church and a Trio from Independent Baptist Church. These performances will begin at 5 p.m. The concert will last approximately 30 minutes, and there will be light refreshment provided.

A brochure about the event is located at BRAHM and the churches, and it provides detailed information about dates, performances and a map.

The churches involved include:

St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Parish
Rumple Presbyterian Church
First Baptist Church
Blowing Rock Methodist Church
