The Boone Winter Farmers’ Market, sponsored by Preserve Heritage Agricultural and Regional Markets Now, returns this Saturday, Mar. 4, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. It is located inside the Watauga County Agricultural Conference Center on 252 Poplar Grove Rd. in Boone.
Although it is wintertime, the farmers’ market offers a variety of fresh produce, ranging from juicy tomatoes to beautiful squash, all locally grown and cultivated. You won’t find a single vegetable, bread or meat there that isn’t local and fresh. The market is packed full of local meats, produce, breads, jams, crafts and more! There are vendors there with paintings, vendors there with embroideries and even fresh coffee being served throughout the duration of the market time.
Some of the vendors you can find at the farmers’ market include: A Berry Patch Farm, Brooks Farm, Owl Creek Breadworks, Nomad Cookie Company, Rachael Salmon Photography, Trebuchet Hills and so many more!
Along with the usual farmers’ market festivities, this Saturday’s market will have a local author there with her delightful children’s book. It’s for animal lovers of all ages.
