Boone’s Winter Farmers’ Market to Return Dec. 2

Local baker and owner of Owl Creek Breadworks, Bruce Ezzell, provides home-made European style breads and decadent pastries to eager customers at Boone’s Winter Famers’ Market.

Your connection to local produce and hand-made products from December through April

Now in its 3rd season, Boone’s Winter Farmers’ Market provides area residents with access to fresh local produce and products through the winter months by offering indoor retail space to local farmers and producers. The market will take place from 9 a.m. to noon every first and third Saturday December through April at the Watauga County Agricultural Conference Center, located at 252 Poplar Grove Rd. in Downtown Boone. Opening Day is Saturday Dec. 2!

Boone’s Winter Farmers’ Market features a wide variety of local and seasonal fresh vegetables, storage crops, meats, eggs, honey, pasta, salsas, jams, baked items, skincare, plants, photography, crafts and much more. Live music, coffee, and hot cocoa will be provided at each market. The space is indoors, and parking is available in the front and at the rear of the building.

This year, the founding organization, PHARMIN (Preserve Heritage Agriculture & Regional Markets Now) has transferred market management responsibilities on to BRWIA (Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture), a non-profit dedicated to strengthening the High Country’s local food system by supporting women and their families with resources, education, and skills related to sustainable food and agriculture. BRWIA is enthusiastic about serving market vendors and community members and looks forward to helping Boone’s Winter Farmer’s Market continue to grow.
