April 29, 2013. Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson ordered a special meeting to take place on Wednesday, May 1, at 5:30 p.m. in the Boone Town Council Chambers.
The purpose of the closed session meeting, according to a notice posted on the Town of Boone’s website, is for Boone Town Council members to receive legal advice concerning the “handling or settlement of threatened judicial or administrative actions by the Watauga County Commission Chairman against the Town.”
This meeting shouldn’t last longer than 30 minutes because the Town of Boone has already scheduled a Water Use Committee meeting at the same location to start at 6 p.m. The Water Use Committee includes members of the Boone Town Council.
