The Boone Police Department arrested all three suspects in an armed robbery that happened near Stoneybrook Court on Thursday afternoon, according to the Boone Police Department’s Twitter feed.

The search for the third suspect took place in the area of N.C. 105. The Boone Police Department asked the public to avoid the area as the suspect may have been armed. Several police vehicles were stationed in the area of Boone Bagelry’s Water Wheel Cafe. The police searched in a wooded area near there.

Around 4:30 p.m., the Boone Police Department sent out this release:

“An armed robbery occurred in the Stoneybrook Court area of Boone on Thursday afternoon, and the search for suspects crossed Boone.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday April 27, residents of an apartment on Stoneybrook Court reported they had been robbed at gunpoint at their residence. Responding officers detained one suspect as he was leaving in a vehicle, but two additional suspects were seen by witnesses fleeing the area on foot. A sighting of the suspects in the area of NC Highway 105 near old High School drive resulted in a second suspect being apprehended. Officers are actively searching the wooded areas there for the third suspect.”

Earlier this afternoon, vehicles with the Boone Police Department were seen driving along King Street at a high rate of speed. WataugaOnline.com reported that afterwards Appalachian State University issued the following alert to students, faculty and staff just after 2 p.m.:

“Boone Police received a call of an armed robbery off campus at an apartment complex on the West side of town. Law Enforcement is on scene investigating the incident. One suspect is in custody and Boone Police are looking for 2 other suspects that could possibly be armed. At this time we do not have a description of the suspects and more updates will be sent out once information is received. If you see any suspicious activity or persons please call 911 or University Police.”
