On Saturday, Feb. 28, the Boone Police Department received a report of a breaking and entering and vandalism at the Horn in the West property off Horn in the West Drive. The perpetrators used spray paint to vandalize the property resulting in approximately $3,000 in damage. Numerous buildings were entered and damaged.
During this investigation, it was learned that there was more than one suspect. It was also learned that the suspects had also vandalized several other locations in the same manner. The Boone Police Department has been investigating this case and has made two previous arrests.
On April 15, a third suspect was arrested and charged for the vandalism.
The arrestee in this case is David Eric Marder, 19, of Hardin Street in Boone. He was charged with two misdemeanors for damage to real property and defacing a public building.
Marder’s court date was set for May 21, 2015, in Boone District Court and his conditions of release were set as a $1,000 secured bond.
