Boone PD Seeks Assistance: Searching For Man Brandishing Gun at Closed Business Wednesday Evening

Oct. 10, 2013. On Wednesday, Oct. 9, just after 7:30 p.m., Boone Police responded to a report of a man with a gun demanding entrance into a closed business. An employee reported that while she was cleaning up, a man started knocking on the door.  As she approached the door, the man began to bang on the door and yelled at her to let him in while brandishing a handgun. 

The employee moved to the back of the business and called 911.  Boone Police officers arrived approximately three minutes later but were unable to locate the suspect.  A K-9 was utilized to track the suspect from the business to a parking lot where the track ended.  The suspect may have left the area in a vehicle. 

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 18-24 years-of-age, 5’ 09” tall, thin build, with a goatee / facial hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt and a dark colored beanie.
