Boone PD Arrests Zionville Man on Probation & Wearing GPS Tracker for B&E, Larceny, Financial Card Fraud

Oct. 22, 2013. On Oct. 17, Boone Police arrested Jason Lynn Brown, 30, of Zionville, for  two counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, three counts of misdemeanor larceny, two counts of felony financial card theft and three counts of misdemeanor financial card fraud.

Mr. Brown is alleged to have broken into two vehicles at the Harris Teeter parking lot, stealing several items, including credit cards.  Brown then used those cards to make purchases at Little Caesars and Walmart. At the time of these crimes, Mr. Brown was on probation and wearing a GPS tracker. Investigators were able to utilize GPS records and video surveillance to identify Mr. Brown.  Mr. Brown was given a $3,000 secured bond pending a Nov. 21, court appearance.
