A 28-year-old Boone man died in a car accident over the weekend.
On Friday evening, Jordan Howell Hallmark, 28, of Blue Ridge Avenue in Boone, went off the road on U.S. 321, over corrected across the centerline and crashed into oncoming traffic, a vehicle driven by Keith and Susan Stirewalt, 60 and 53 of China Grove, according to an incident report from State Highway Patrol Trooper Brandon Cox.
The accident occurred near the concrete operation on U.S. 321 in between Boone and Blowing Rock at about 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Hallmark was airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center, where he passed away on Saturday. The Stirewalts were listed as injured and there current condition was not available on Monday morning.
Memorial services for Jordan Howell Hallmark will be conducted Thursday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2015, at 3:00 o’clock, at St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Church in Blowing Rock. See Hallmark’s obituary here.
