Boone Chamber of Commerce Hosts Inaugural 4 Under 40 Awards at Holmes Convocation, May 17

On Wednesday, May 17, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the Boone Chamber of Commerce will host its inaugural 4 Under 40 Awards: Recognizing Emerging Leaders at the Holmes Convocation Center.

The event is to acknowledge and honor the businesses and leaders throughout our community who have shown exemplary determination, ambition and community involvement.

There were 30 nominations throughout the entire process of choosing the finalists.

According to a Boone Chamber Representative, there were nomination forms that were filled out that consisted of certain business achievements, civic and community activities that the nominee was involved in and other activities and honors that the nominee had accomplished and received.

“Anybody in the community could nominate anyone,” the chamber representative said. “The nominating committee then met and decided on the finalists for the awards.”

While all of the nominees for the event will be honored at the event, the winner will be announced for the first time during the luncheon.

“We are expecting to have a great turn out,” the chamber representative said. “It’s our inaugural event, so we can’t be sure who will show up, but we are optimistic that it will be a wonderful event.”

Tickets are on sale now for $20 for chamber members and $25 for the general public. Corporate tables are also available for purchase, and those tickets seat 8 people each.
