Blue Star Mothers: Restaurant Fundraising to Support Active Military Personnel

The High Country Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America is proud to announce its schedule of fundraisers during the 16th annual Military Appreciation Month in May. BSMA is teaming up with area restaurants to give residents an opportunity to support our military men and women though their patronage of the restaurant. The following restaurants have graciously agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds on a specific date to our organization in order to purchase items for “care packages” and pay for shipping them to our deployed military heroes.BSM-logo-small

The Blue Star Mothers of America, a nonprofit organization, was organized in February 1942 and charted by congress in 1960. We are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard or reserves, or children who are veterans. We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our organization focuses on our mission every single day and will never, ever forsake our troops, our veterans or the families of our fallen heroes. We have more than 6,000 members in more than 200 chapters across the nation.

The Blue Star Mothers of the High Country meets at 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at Perkinsville Baptist Church, 274 Jefferson Rd. in Boone.
