July 1, 2014. July 7 will mark the second of five total concerts that are part of the Monday Night Concert Series in Blowing Rock. The free concert is offered by the town of Blowing Rock and sponsored by Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation. July 7 will feature Amy Marie Young, Krista Wells and pianist Steve Sensenig.
Young and Wells are both graduates of Appalachian State University and both worked at the Blowing Rock Farm House Inn and Restaurant as singing waitresses in the late 90s. Sensenig is currently performing at the Barter Theater, playing for their upcoming summer season.
The Monday Night Concert Series is in its fifteenth year and takes place in the Broyhill Park off of Clark Street in Blowing Rock. Each show will feature various types of music from jazz, musical theatre, folk, country and contemporary music. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and audiences are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket for their comfort. The inclement weather location is the American Legion Building on Park Avenue or the Rotary building next to the swimming pool.

- July 21 – Amy Young, jazz guitarist Andy Page and Steve Sensenig
- Aug. 4 and 18 – Brother Gravity
