TODAY: Blowing Rock Tour of Homes Returns to the High Country to Provide Another Year of Breathtaking Architecture, July 28

Blowing Rock is known for its stunning architecture that catches the eyes of visitors and residents alike, creating an environment and atmosphere that attracts people of all walks of life.

On Friday, July 28, anyone and everyone will have the opportunity to get as close as possible to some of this architecture through St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Church’s 59th Annual Blowing Rock Tour of Homes.

The entire event will focus around touring five exceptional and beautiful homes — both the interior and exterior of all four — in the village of Blowing Rock. The tours begin at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s and last until 5 p.m. with a shuttle service provided by the church on Main Street until 3 p.m.

Tickets are $30 per person and tickets for lunch are $12 per person, and it will be served between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There are limited lunch tickets, as well, so it’s important to purchase them as soon as possible so that you can partake in the delicious food being offered. On the church lawn, there will be various tents that house the Bake Sale, Timeless Treasures, the Wall of Wine and other amazing and awesome things that you want to make sure you check out before the end of the event.

The Tour of the Homes is an annual fundraiser, and all of the proceeds are donated towards charitable organizations in Boone and Blowing Rock.

Tickets are $32 per person and can be purchased through the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce at 828-295-7851 or on the St. Mary of the Hills website. Tickets will not longer be sold online after 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, but you can buy them in person up until 3:00 p.m. the day of the event.
