The Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the 2015 Patrons Evening on June 19th and The 38th Annual Fashion Show & Luncheon on August 7. There are many people to thank – committee members, volunteers, merchants and donors.

“This year was a great success – these events raised $69,000! The money raised is going to fund The Foley Center at Chestnut Ridge, Appalachian Regional Healthcare System’s new post-acute care facility in Blowing Rock. We are getting closer to the grand opening of this new facility, and the dedication and support of this community is amazing,” stated Rob Hudspeth, Appalachian Regional Healthcare System Senior Vice President for System Advancement.
Thank you to our Patrons Evening Co-Chairs Bo Henderson and Debbie Covington, and Events Executive Chair, Suzanne Miller. Their hard work and countless hours of planning and coordinating these events are so greatly appreciated and contributed to making 2015 another sell-out year. This year’s Patrons Party committee members were Ramona Bryson, Ed Springs, Betsy Wilcox, and Vicki Worsham. The Fashion Show committee chairs included Ruth Dyer, Lynn Lawrence, Mandy Poplin, Ellen Cooley, Vicki Worsham, and Rita Griffith. Without their tireless effort and numerous volunteer hours, these events would not have been possible.
Congratulations to Suzanne Miller, the 2015 Woman of the Year! Since 1989, Mrs. Miller has been volunteering for the annual Blowing Rock Fashion Show and Luncheon. She has served as chair for the event three different years.
