May 23, 2014. The Blowing Rock Farmers’ Market is pleased to invite you to the first Farmers Market of the 2014 season by offering a wide variety for your table and your garden.

All vendors are selling products grown or produced in Watauga, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, Catawba and Wilkes Counties in North Carolina, Grayson County, Va. and Johnson County, Tenn.
Local favorites such as Zydeco Moon will have organic lettuce, spinach, spring onions and heirloom tomato plants. BeeKind Family Farm has honey, herbs and eggs while Mountain Memories Farm will compliment the meal with pasture-raised lamb, chicken, pork, beef and eggs. Bella Rooster will feature their famous jams and jellies as well as perennials and vines for your garden. Joan’s Sourdough will, of course, have breads, fried pies, cakes and desserts.
A variety of infused and blooming rind goat cheeses from Cheval Farmstead Dairy is always a treat. Madeline’s will be happy to satisfy your sweet tooth with European-style pasteries, danish and other decadence. Laurelland Greenhouse and My Favorite Plants will be happy to help fill those empty spaces in the yard and on your patio that need a bit more color.
Beautiful fresh cut flowers are always worth standing in line for from Summer Fresh Flowers. Get some for the dining room, the bedrooms and the bathrooms!
