This Friday, the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum welcomes community members to dress up in “artsy casual” clothing and march down to Chestnut Street for a night of hors d’oeuvres, music and dancing.

A $100-per-person donation buys attendees food offerings in a variety of cuisines, the opportunity to browse displayed works of art throughout the museum and the experience of enjoying music and dancing with fellow partygoers.

The museum is coming up on its five-year anniversary of serving the community through art and culture in October. Its permanent and traveling collections, museum-curated exhibits, programs and events are an asset to Blowing Rock.

Lee Carol Giduz, BRAHM’s executive director, says that the goal for Art Ball is for it to be a “fun, festive, high-energy evening” that will raise money for the museum’s various programs.

Donations go towards educational summer camps and workshops for kids, as well as film screenings, concert series and recurring lecture events like Scholars and Scones and Thursday Art and Culture (TAC) Talks.

“I encourage people to come. There are always things in Blowing Rock, but this event will be one they won’t want to miss,” Giduz adds.

Tickets, open to both members and non-members, are available online up until the day before the event. For more information, visit BRAHM’s website.
