Beech Mountain Bike Park Set to Open for the Season with New Terrain, May 27

Beech Mountain Bike Park opens for the season on May 27th, offering new terrain for all ability levels. Beech Mountain Resort is in a multi-year partnership with Elevated Trail Design. This year’s park expansion focuses on segments 1, 2, 3, and 10 of the multi-year plan. Patrons will notice a fresh face-lift on all the trails providing a completely NEW feel for Beech Mountain.

What’s NEW for 2017:

-Enhancements will offer more terrain for all levels of riders.

-The park layout will give familiar trails a fresh outlook i.e. the “AM” track will be two blue-level trails (one more technical, one more flowy)

-Old and new trails will have added features, allowing opportunity for progression and airtime.

-The new blue trail will offer more of a flow-oriented style, while still utilizing rocks and natural features. Progressive options will appeal to a wide variety of riders.

-The Pro GRT race courses will be fully prepped and include new fresh terrain.

-The green trail is re-worked from the summer road to the village, to offer the best possible learning experience for less experienced riders.

-Elevated Trail Design is training Beech Mountain Resort park crew to ensure quality experience throughout the season .

-Black Bear (Pro-Track) is getting a major facelift on the upper half of the track; opening up some fresh cuts to bring back the feel it had when it was first opened.

-The open sections near the summit will be updated and maintenanced.

-Both of the blue main trails will have advanced option lines, featuring rock features, gap jumps, and step downs.

-The new trail will have very flow-oriented terrain but will preserve the existing rugged downhill. Both sides of the downhill experience are being maintained and celebrated.
