Jan. 16, 2012. Watauga County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Jan. 9 that alleged that a juvenile, under the age of 18, had received two tattoos from an individual who was not licensed to perform tattooing.
Sheriff Hagaman reported that the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an investigation into the incident. As a result of the investigation the following individual was charged and arrested.
Jamie Lester Presnell, W/M, DOB: 11-18-1978, a resident of 431 Wiley Harmon Road, Banner Elk, NC was charged with one count of Tattooing a Person Under the Age of 18 Years of Age and one count of Failure to Comply with Tattoo Regulations.
Jamie Lester Presnell was arrested on January 14, 2013 and given a $500.00 secured bond. Jamie Lester Presnell is scheduled to appear in court on February 28, 2013.
