Oct. 24, 2014. On Thursday evening, Todd Bush snapped a series of shots from Sugar Mountain of the “partial solar eclipse that began in these parts around 6 p.m. and reached its max at 6:22 p.m.,” Bush said in an email.

Bush added, “But by then clouds got so heavy, the show was no longer visible.”

Bush used a solar filter on a 300 mm camera lens.

“In the lower left shot, giant sunspot AR2192 can be seen. Other parts of the world saw an even greater portion of the sun eclipsed by the moon,” Bush wrote.
