May 5, 2014. This year promises to be another great year for Banner Elk Concert goers. The Town of Banner Elk and the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce will bring 11 concerts to the Town of Banner Elk. Sharon Robbins has scheduled lots of great bands, some old favorites and some new. The genres include folk and bluegrass, rock, rockabilly, oldies, soul and motown. All the bands will get the crowd on their feet and dancing.
The concerts begin on June 19 and will continue every Thursday night through Aug. 28. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. They are held at Tate-Evans Park and are always free. Concert goers can bring chairs and blankets and join the fun. There are vendors at each show to provide food and drinks.
Generous sponsors allow for Banner Elk to bring wonderful bands each year.
