Looking for fresh, local foods in Avery County? You’re in luck! The weekly farmers’ market in Banner Elk is back this afternoon from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the old elementary school.
Enjoy your favorite products straight from the farm, including asparagus, corn, tomatoes, mushrooms, greens, potatoes, beans, carrots, radishes, beets, beef, pork, chicken, flowers, plants, artisan breads, baked sweets, raw honey, maple syrup, jams and jellies and so much more.
The Avery County Farmers’ Market is dedicated to promoting the well being of local farms, ethical standards and practices and educating the public on the benefits of supporting local farming.
The Old Banner Elk Elementary School is located at 185 Azalea Circle.
