August, a Relatively Dry Month, While High Country Receives Upwards of 30 Inches of Rain Since June 1

Sept. 2, 2013. Compared to previous months, August was relatively dry.

While Boone experienced nearly 28 inches of rain in Boone in one of – if not – the wettest June and July combinations on record, it only rained 3.58 inches in August, according to archived climate information at RaysWeather.com.
