Valle Crucis Community Park one of the High Country’s best loved resources, and operates entirely through donations and grants. Encompassing twenty-three acres along the Watauga River, the park is a naturalist’s paradise as well as a recreation resource for residents of and visitors to the region.

Featured items at this year’s event include free coffee for one year from local roaster Bald Guy Brew and reserved parking for the 2015 season of the park’s Music in the Valle concert series.

“The auction is an extremely important part of the park’s fundraising efforts each year. This single event raises nearly 20 percent of the park’s annual operating budget, and it takes all kinds of bidders to make the auction a success: those who spend $5 at the flea market, as well as those who spend $50 or even $500 at the auction,” said Executive Director of the VCCP Caroline Gandy.

Donations to the auction will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 22 and volunteers are still needed. For more information, please call 828-963-9239.
