ASU’s Department of Housing Hosts Sixth Annual Silent Bike Auction June 20 to Benefit the UH Scholarship Fund

June 18, 2014. On June 20, from 5-7 p.m., the Appalachian State University Department of Housing will host the sixth annual Silent Bike Auction. The auction will be held in the ballroom of the Appalachian Panhellenic Residence Hall located at 949 Blowing Rock Road be2014-bike-auction-Flierside the BB&T bank.

A special preview for the auction will be held June 19 from 4-7 p.m. All proceeds of the event will go toward the University Housing Scholarship Fund.

The bicycles that are up for auction are ones that have been abandoned on campus throughout the school year. The auction is a cash and carry auction, no credit cards will be accepted.

In the event of a tiebreaker, a live auction will take place for bikes in high demand.

This year, 53 bikes are going to be auctioned off with a minimum bid of $10 for each one.
