ASU Fall Convocation Taking Place Thursday Morning With Guest Speaker Wayne Henderson, a Master Luthier

Sept. 4, 2014. Hundreds of Appalachian State University students were walking along Rivers Street this morning on their way to fall convocation. The event started at 10 a.m. in the Holmes Convocation Center.

Guest speaker this year is Wayne Henderson, the subject of Clapton’s Guitar: Watching Wayne Henderson Build the Perfect Instrument. That book is also a 2014-15 Common Reading book selection.

Classes begin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, so students, faculty and staff may attend the event.
