Appalachian State and Boone Receive the Predicted Light Dusting of the White Stuff on Monday Afternoon

March 3, 2014. Look’s like the High Country is seeing a bit of snow after all. A dusting of the white stuff hit Boone earlier this afternoon as part of the forecasted wintery mix, but it looks like it won’t stick around too long. 

According to RaysWeather.com, a light snow was expected this afternoon as part of a wintery mix that developed from drizzle earlier this morning. 

In anticipation of the winter weather, many area schools closed early to allow students time to get home safely. For more information about school closures, click here
