Feb, 28, 2014. Does a weekly delivery of farm fresh produce and farm products sound good to you? Join several High Country Farmers at ASAP’s 2014 High Country Community Supported Agriculture Fair on Tuesday, March 4 from 5-7 p.m. located at the Agricultural Conference Center in Boone at 971 W. King St. in Boone.
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscribers receive a weekly box of fresh locally grown produce or meats throughout the growing season.
This program helps to support farmers and their families by providing income up front, and keeps fresh produce circulating around the community throughout the growing season. There are options for small households, larger households and even add-on items available through a summer catalogue throughout the season.
The CSA Fair is an opportunity for High Country residents to meet farmers face to face and learn more about CSA products and programs. Guests will have a chance to learn more from farmers, and even be able to join right on the spot!
There will be eight farmers exhibiting at this year’s CSA Fair. Be sure to come out, meet the farmers, learn about the program and perhaps be a part of it yourself.
