Appalachian State’s 2014 Performing Arts Series Presents ‘STOMP’ at the Schaefer Center on Tuesday, March 4

March 3, 2014. On Tuesday, March 4, Appalachian State University’s 2014 Performing Arts Series presents STOMP at the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts.

Premiering at 8 p.m., STOMP is “is explosive, provocative, sophisticated, sexy, utterly unique and appeals to audiences of all ages.”

STOMP has been captivating audiences for almost 20 years. The eight-member group utilizes everything except conventional percussion instruments, instead using everyday objects such as matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, hubcaps to create beautiful percussion music from unexpected places. 

Known around the world for their high-energy, exciting and creative displays of musicianship, STOMP is a delight for music lovers of all ages.
