Appalachian State University’s Gospel Summit 2013 Concludes with Combined Concert on Friday, Sept. 27

Sept. 24, 2013. Participants of Gospel Summit 2013 and the Appalachian State University Gospel Choir will perform on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Boone. Admission is free but donations will be accepted. 

James Bignon will conduct the summit choir and Keith McCutchen will conduct the gospel choir. Sam Tate will serve as master of ceremonies. 

The gospel choir will perform “Every Praise” by Hezekiah Walker and “Oh Lord You’re My Everything” by Richard Smallwood.

The summit choir will perform “How Excellent is Thy Name,” “God is Great,” “More of You” and “Who He I” by James Bignon; “Please Be Patient” by James Cleeland; and “Draw Me Nearer” by James Bignon.

The combined choirs will perform “Comfort Ye” by Keith McCutchen.

The Gospel Summit is sponsored by the gospel choir, Appalachian Music Industry Studies Program; Office of Equity, Diversity and Compliance; Office of Multicultural Student Development; and First Baptist Church. Its goal is to bring together local church choirs, directors and musicians.
