Dec. 13, 2012. Appalachian State University will hold its fall 2012 graduation commencement ceremony on Sunday Dec. 16, 2012 at the Holmes Convocation Center. The time of graduation is based on which college the student is in.
The University College, Reich College of Education and The College of Arts and Sciences holding their ceremony at 10 a.m.
The College of Fine and Applied Arts, College of Business, Hayes School of Music, and College of Health Sciences will hold their commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. the same day, according to the office of the registrar.
Students graduating in December are, for the most part, graduating early or graduating late.
For those attending the graduation ceremonies this weekend, the office of the registrar suggests parking 45 minutes before the ceremony starts to ensure that you get to the commencement on time. Park and ride information, as well as parking maps are available at the registrar’s website here.
As a reminder, bags and backpacks are not allowed inside the Holmes Convocation Center for any special events. Tickets are not required to attend the graduation ceremonies this weekend, and there is no limit to the number of guests per student to attend the ceremony.
