App Theatre Invites Community to ‘Save The Drama’ Release Party, Fundraising Auction Dec. 1

The Appalachian Theatre, in collaboration with Appalachian Mountain Brewery, invites you to the Save The Drama Release Party on Friday, Dec. 1 at Harvest House Performing Arts Venue.

Enjoy a fun-filled evening which will include:

  • Official bottle release party of the “Save the Drama”, a white imperial stout brewed by Appalachian Mountain Brewery to benefit the downtown Appalachian Theatre,
  • Live and Silent Auction,
  • Live music featuring The Harris Brothers,
  • And a big announcement that you won’t want to miss!

The live auction will be hosted by two professional auctioneers and will feature many donated, high value auction items including art pieces, multiple weekend getaways, a week- long Montana vacation, a Scotch tasting party, and more. The silent auction will feature overflowing picnic baskets, artwork, golf outings, and local items, among other items. Members of the App Theatre Board and Committees will be on-site accepting donations as the non-profit organization moves towards its final stages of the Theatre restoration.

In between live auction items, enjoy the Americana sounds of local and beloved band, The Harris Brothers. Food will also be offered by many local restaurant sponsors including The Cardinal, CR Catering, Over Yonder, Proper, Vidalia’s, Eleven80 Eatery, and Melanie’s Food Fantasy.

John Cooper, Chairman of the Appalachian Theatre Board and longtime local business owner, spoke on the significance of the event: “The Save The Drama Release Party is designed to bring together our local community around the Appalachian Theatre restoration project. As we move towards the final stages of construction, we are hoping this special event serves as a kickoff for everyone in the High Country. If you haven’t been involved yet, I invite and encourage you to get involved with the Appalachian Theatre; there is no better time.”

Tickets are available at Mast Store in downtown Boone for $25 and will be sold at the door for $30. Tickets include entrance to the event as well as two drinks and food. ID’s will be needed for entrance. Cash, checks, and cards will be accepted for auction items and donations.

Tickets are limited and may sell out, so be sure to purchase them in advance to guarantee your entrance to the best event of December. More information at savetheapptheatre.com.
