On Friday, September 25 just before 2:30 p.m., Boone Police responded with Watauga Medics to 451 Yosef Drive in reference to an unresponsive male. First arriving units determined that the male was deceased.
Boone Police Department investigators responded to the scene and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the death.
The decedent, John Dallas Bunch IV, 20, was transferred to the custody of the medical examiner for an autopsy and toxicological testing. The cause of death remains undetermined pending results of the autopsy and testing. There are no indications of foul play.
Bunch was a sophomore computer science major at App State, according to the university’s directory.
