Join us for Appalachian State Habitat for Humanity’s 8th Annual Gingerbread Building Competition. This exciting annual event will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 6 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Ballroom of the Student Union on campus. There will be Christmas karaoke, free food, prizes, and gingerbread building like you’ve never seen before!
All proceeds raised during the event will go to Watauga Habitat for Humanity and help build an affordable house for a local family in need. Builders of all ages are invited to join in the fun and create a gingerbread house masterpiece for this worthy cause.
Teams will have just over one hour to build their masterpiece and will be provided graham crackers and icing to help start their structures. It is encouraged to bring additional building structures such as candy to make your house stand out, but all structural materials must be edible in order to win. Teams can consist of up to 5 people and each group must pay a $25 registration fee to sign up.
