“Congratulations to Coach Satterfield, his staff and our student-athletes on reaching a bowl for the second time in as many seasons as eligible at the FBS level,” App State Director of Athletics Doug Gillin said. “Our fans showed their passion for App State Football last year in selling out our allotment of tickets in the historic win at the Camellia Bowl. Request your tickets now and make plans to join us for another thrilling bowl experience.”

All bowl ticket and purchasing information is available on the App State or by calling the App State Ticket Office at (828) 262-2079 and place your order over the phone. Your credit card will not be charged until App State has been officially selected to a bowl game.

The Mountaineers (6-2, 4-0 Sun Belt) became bowl eligible with last week’s 34-10 win at Georgia Southern and are unbeaten in Sun Belt Conference play halfway through the conference schedule. App hosts Texas State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Kidd Brewer Stadium. Reserved Tickets are sold out. General admission tickets are still available.

Last season, App became the first FBS team to win a bowl game in their first season of bowl eligibility with a come-from-behind win over Ohio, 31-29. App sold out their allotment of tickets for the game and trip to the Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. The Mountaineers’ 11 wins were a record for a first-year program in the FBS.
