Aug. 8, 2014. Fans that purchase tickets to Appalachian State University football home gales at least 13 days prior to each game during the 2014 season will be entered in a drawing to win an exclusive Gameday Experience prize, Appalachian State Athletics announced on Thursday.
The Early Bird Ticket Promotion was created to thank Mountaineer fans for continuing to buy their tickets well in advance of gameday despite changes to how Appalachian State kickoff times are established in the NCAA Division I FBS Sun Belt Conference.
As a result of an expanded agreement with ESPN, all Sun Belt home football games will be televised on an ESPN platform (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews or ESPN3) in 2014. Due to that agreement, kickoff times cannot be confirmed for any games playing in October and November until ESPN finalizes its weekly broadcast schedule 12 days prior to each October/November gameday. Therefore, kickoff times for Appalachian State’s final five home games of 2014 (Oct. 4 vs. South Alabama, Oct. 11 vs. Liberty, Nov. 1 vs. Georgia State, Nov. 8 vs. UL Monroe and Nov. 29 vs. Idaho) will not be set until those television arrangements are finalized.
All fans that purchase their tickets to any 2014 Appalachian State football home game at least 13 days prior to each game will be entered in a drawing to win a Gameday Experience prize for that game. The Gameday Experience includes a tour of the Appalachian Athletics Center, including App State’s football locker room and pregame and sideline passes.
Fans with season, half-season, flex season or single-game tickets will be entered into the drawing for each respective game and two winners will be selected in each drawing.
Tickets still remain for all six home games but reserved seats for premium games – including the Sept. 6 home opener vs. Campbell, Oct. 4 inaugural Sun Belt home came vs. South Alabama and Oct .11 homecoming contest vs. Liberty are going fast. All season-ticket packages (half, full and flex) are also still available.
Tickets can be purchased online at appstatesports.com/tickets, by phone at 828-262-2079 or in person at the Appalachian State athletics ticket office located in the Holmes Center. Tickets can be purchased online 24 hours a day, seven days a week while phone and in-person sales are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
