As tickets for Saturday’s homecoming contest between red-hot Appalachian State University football and Wyoming continue to sell briskly, Appalachian State athletics has declared that Tuesday, Sept. 29 will be THANKS Tuesday at the Appalachian State athletics ticket office.
On THANKS Tuesday, every fan that buys tickets to help pack The Rock for Saturday’s homecoming game between the Mountaineers and Wyoming will also receive the opportunity to purchase regular reserved seats for Appalachian’s Sun Belt Conference showdown versus UL Lafayette on Thanksgiving Saturday (Nov. 28) at the group rate of just $22 (a savings of $10 per ticket).
The THANKS Tuesday offer can be redeemed in conjunction with any of the Welcome Home ticket specials that were announced last week ($99 for four regular reserved tickets for ALL fans or $22 for general admission tickets for Appalachian alumni).
The THANKS Tuesday offer is good only on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Fans that purchase homecoming tickets online at appstatesports.com/tickets between midnight and 11:59 p.m. will receive an email with instructions on how to purchase their $22 tickets for the Nov. 28 UL Lafayette contest. The offer is also available by phone at (828) 262-2079 or in person at the Appalachian State athletics ticket office (located at the Holmes Center) between 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Appalachian State (2-1) is fresh off of handing Conference USA’s Old Dominion its first-ever shutout loss and its worst all-time home defeat in a 49-0 rout on Saturday in Norfolk, Va. The red-hot Mountaineers have shut out two of their first three opponents this season and lead the Sun Belt Conference in scoring offense, scoring defense, total offense and total defense.
Out of the highly regarded Mountain West Conference, Wyoming will become the first-ever NCAA Division I FBS opponent to ever visit Kidd Brewer Stadium.
