Annie Robinette Starts Off the Annual Banner Elk Concerts in the Park on June 19 in Tate-Evans Park

June 10, 2014. The Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Banner Elk invite you to join in for Annie Robinette. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. at Tate-Evans Park in downtown Banner Elk. Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy the free concert. Food will be available for purchase or bring a picnic to enjoy. Friendly dogs are welcome if they are on a leash.

The annual concert series begins with Annie Robinette, with a sound that is uniquely her own, delivered with power, emotion and intensity. The music is sophisticated without being complicated and has a firm acoustic texture with just enough electricity. Her powerful voice is the perfect vehicle to deliver stories within which you are bound to find a piece of yourself.

Annie has played at Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Virginia Highlands Festival, Kingsport Concert series, Holston River Rally and more. She has been honored with several songwriting awards including the 2012 Smokey Mountain Songwriters Competition.

Annie Robinette will be joined by Glen Harlow, Matt Osbourne, Jim Price and Paul Robinette.

This week’s concert organizer is Grandfather Vineyards. Nestled right on the Watauga River at the base of Grandfather Mountain you will find this terraced mountain vineyard and winery.

What started as a hobby turned into a thriving family business for Steve and Sally Tatum. With a degree in viticulture and enology, their son Dylan is the winemaker. He is making first class wines including crisp whites, bold reds, pleasing roses and their signature ice wine. For more information, visit www.GrandfatherVineyard.com.
