Health Department, Emergency Vet to Host Rabies Vaccine Clinics for Cats and Dogs

Appalachian District Health Department is encouraging all pet owners to ensure your cats and dogs have current rabies vaccinations. The Animal Emergency and Pet Care Clinic of the High Country is hosting a rabies vaccination clinic for cats and dogs in Watauga County on several dates at various locations during May:animal-logo

FRI. MAY 15: Bethel Elementary School, 5-6 p.m.

SAT. MAY 16: Watauga Humane Society, 10 a.m. to noon

SAT. MAY 16: Mabel Elementary School, 2-4 p.m.

FRI. MAY 29: Green Valley Elementary School, 5-6 p.m.

SAT. MAY 30: Watauga County Health Department parking lot, 2-4 p.m.

 

No appointments are necessary, so drop in with your cats and dogs on a pet leash or in a pet carrier and pay only $8 each for a one-year rabies vaccination. Additionally, a three-year vaccine will be available for $10 for those that provide documentation of a most recent vaccination. CASH ONLY.

Rabies vaccinations are extremely important to protect your pet and your own health. Take a few minutes out to protect your health and the health of others and get your pets vaccinated.
