May 27, 2014. The Town of Boone recently announced its winners in the annual Every Drop Counts poster contest for second graders.
Addison Schoychid of Two Rivers Community School won the contest, which celebrates National Drinking Water Week. She won a brand new bicycle and helmet for her efforts.
Lane Weiss, program coordinator for water conservation with the Town of Boone, noted that the contest had 100 percent participation from both Hardin Park Elementary School and Two Rivers Community School.
Contest winners are listed below.
First Place- Addison Schoychid of Two Rivers Community School, brand new bicycle and helmet
Second Place- Rowena Brown of Two Rivers Community School, art kit complete with easel
Third Place- Sebastian Harwood of Two Rivers Community School, outdoor exploration kit
Honorable Mention- Bynum Norris of Two Rivers Community School, indoor and outdoor conservation kit
