Activation Music and Arts Festival Moves Into the High Country and Starts the Second Weekend in August

July 12, 2013. Activation Music and Arts Festival intends to provide a collaborative space to explore and “Activate” the mind, body, and spirit through creative expression, movement, and education. Activation Music and Arts Festival is a co-creative moment in time celebrating the best of the blossoming music and arts scene in the regional southeast. Located thirty minutes south of ASU, Activation will take place August 9 through 11 at High Country Motorcycle Camp in Ferguson, NC.

Picture 4Activation is dedicated to providing a collaborative atmosphere between, musicians, artists and participants and will feature an eclectic mosaic of musicians and artists from across the region. With an absence of nationally acclaimed headliners, Activation shines the spotlight on deserving up-and-coming talent across artistic genres and mediums. Artistic synergy, exclusive musical jam sessions, and impromptu sets are some of the unique and special characteristics of the festival. In addition to a roster of incredible musicians such as Empire Strikes Brass, The Fritz, Vertigo Jazz Project Michael Garfield and Medisin, Attendees will delight in witnessing live art being created from an array of visual artists, interactive art installations, healing yoga and illuminating daytime workshops.

The festival is an 18 and up event unless a parent or guardian is present. For admission details click here.

No glass containers are allowed at the festival and there is a leave no trace policy. For festival details, click here
