April 2, 2014. There’s nothing like basking in the sun and shooting the breeze on a, shall I say, summer day in Boone.
It’s just the first of April, but the temperature is in the 70s on Wednesday afternoon across the High Country. RaysWeather.com titled its forecast discussion for Wednesday: “Oh Yeah!”
“The good times keep rolling with another day of unseasonable warmth and lots of sunshine to go around,” RaysWeather.com reads.
But Ray’s notes that perfect weather this early in April is unlike a De Beers’ diamond; it won’t last forever. Even by the weekend, the high temperature drops into the 50s and some showers are forecasted for Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Colder temps are also forecasted next week.
So, let’s enjoy the sunny, warm weather while it lasts, and if we can all get off work early enough today, let’s go basking in the sun at our favorite sunny spot, too.
