The 4th Annual Blowing Rock Music Festival, hosted by the Blowing Rock Attraction and the Harris Brothers, is returning to the High Country with a spectacular lineup of local entertainers for the entire community on Saturday, September 16, at The Blowing Rock.
Gates will open at 10 a.m. with music performances beginning at 12. The entertainment will conclude at sunset and, weather permitting, a fireworks display will take place.
There will be two stages in use throughout the event : the main stage, which is front of the main building, and the smaller stage, The Rock Stage.
“The Rock Stage is for small, pick-up bands, like acoustics,” Charlie Sellers, Proprietor of The Blowing Rock said. “The Main Stage is for the larger groups of entertainers who have brass or additional string instruments.”
This year’s lineup includes the Harris Brothers, the Shelby Rae Moore Band, Soul Benefactor, Wayne Euliss as Elvis and so many more wonderful and talented musicians!
“The music is going to be bluegrass and Americana,” Sellers said. “The majority of the music is indigenous to the mountain area. A lot of the entertainers are from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and all of them are from North Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia.”
The music festival not only provides high-quality and entertaining music for the masses, but it also works toward preserving the way of life, the way of music, in our mountain home.
Hamburgers, hot dogs and BBQ will be sold on site for all the hungry festival-goers who will be having a blast throughout the whole day. Nothing like some awesome music to help work up an appetite!
Coolers are welcome, but there are no pets, umbrellas or refunds allowed.
Tickets are $30 from now until September 10, and starting on September 11 until the day of the event, tickets are $45 and $10 for children.
You can purchase tickets by visiting or calling the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce at 828-295-7851 or by visiting or calling the Blowing Rock Attraction at 828-295-4812 or 828-295-7111.
