July 18, 2013. 85 juried artisans, all showcasing their unique handcrafted mediums will be representing their unique styles at the first Fine Art and Mastercraft Festival of the season sponsored by the Avery County Chamber of Commerce.
Find your favorite artists as you stroll the grounds of the Historic Banner Elk Elementary School in downtown Banner Elk on Friday evening from 4pm-8pm, July 19, then Saturday July 20th and Sunday July 21st. This event offered free to the general public from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday will bring artists that will capture your imagination and pose the question “how did they do that”?
The Avery Chamber is much honored to have these artists at our 22nd annual show. The Chambers strict jurying process, ensures only those who have mastered their talents will be represented here during this weekend event. There are some artists who travel the world honing their craft and some trained from generations passed. These artists will be selling unique handcrafted items such as pottery, wood and burral bowls, some so amazing its hard to imagine they were from a growth on a tree. Need a new look for your mountain or low country home or a special jewel for you or someone special? We have artists who will bring original pieces and customized jewelry, furniture, mosaic tables and so many more mediums. We encourage everyone to come out and support our artists, to ensure this much respected show continues offering our community only these top notch artists.
