SATURDAY: 19th Annual Blood, Sweat, And Gears Rolls Into the High Country, Be Aware of Traffic

BSG, Events. INC will be hosting its 19th annual Blood, Sweat and Gears ride on Saturday, June 24th. The ride has had an impressive 1400 participants in the previous year committing to the almost 9 hour bike ride.

The event has two trails, one 90 mile ride and one 50 mile ride throughout the High Country. The ride will begin at 7:30 a.m. for the 90 mile and 7:45 a.m. for the 50 mile, starting and ending at Valle Crucis Elementary School.

June 24th will be a day of bike riders in and around the High Country so stay alert on your morning and afternoon commutes. Meat camp road, Bethel road and Mast Gap will be particularly busy with participants, so remember to share the road and watch out.

The bikers will have an after ride celebration at Boone’s AMB at 6:30 p.m.

All proceeds from Blood, Sweat and Gears are donated to local charities in the High Country. For more information on the ride visit: http://bloodsweatandgears.org/home.
