Blue Ridge Conservancy (BRC) will host its 16th annual Wine/Beer Tasting & Auction on Wednesday, June 8, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Camp Sky Ranch.
This year’s Wine/Beer Tasting & Auction celebrates local businesses and the community. In keeping with a nearly 16-year tradition, owners Ken and Wendy Gordon of The Gamekeeper will once again prepare creative and original Southern food donated by Heritage Homestead Goat Dairy, Highland Meadows Cattle Co., Old Orchard Creek Farm, Salmon To You, and New Appalachia.
Peabody’s Wine & Beer Merchants will be pouring samples of their excellent inventory of fine wines. Local breweries include Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Beech Mountain Brewing Co., Blowing Rock Brewing, Boondocks Brewing, Booneshine Brewing Co., and Lost Province Brewing Co.
Other major sponsors include Events by Elizabeth Ashley, Miss Match Rentals, and High South Creative Photography.
“We invite everyone in the community to come out and enjoy an evening of great food and drink provided by local businesses to help support Blue Ridge Conservancy’s mission to protect our North Carolina resources,” said Walter Clark, Executive Director of BRC.
A silent and live auction and will feature local prizes donated from our community sponsors. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on local art, pottery, vacation packages, and many other items. Music will be provided by Cane Mill Road. All proceeds from the event will benefit BRC and its mission to permanently protect land and water resources with agricultural, ecological, cultural, recreational and scenic value in northwest North Carolina.
Individual tickets are $30 each or $50 for two.
