Zaza Evangeline Heines

January 14, 2018 – January 26, 2018

Zaza Evangeline Heines was born on Sunday, January 14, 2018 to Dr. Joshua and Diane Heines. With a headful of gorgeous, dark hair like her mother and vibrant hazel eyes like her father, Zaza stole her parents’ hearts forever.

In her short eleven days here on earth, Zaza impacted the lives of many with her fighting spirit and reminder of God’s intense love. Meaning “Belonging to All” or “Light,” Zaza radiated God’s glory with her testimony that began in the womb and the miracle of her birth, despite all odds. Evangeline or “Bringer of Good News” was evident in Zaza as hundreds of prayers were lifted up on her behalf, around the world, with many falling on their knees for the very first time.

Zaza loved snuggling for hours with her mommy and daddy with a huge smile on her face and listening to worship music while sleeping. She also enjoyed her head being stroked, while being prayed over or sung too.

On Thursday, January 26, 2018 Zaza passed peacefully in the loving arms of her parents and went home into the awaiting arms of Jesus, completely healed and perfect. Despite the anguish and heartache of losing Zaza so soon, Dr. Joshua, Diane and big sister Faith encourage you to always be the light in the darkness with your eyes focused on the Kingdom. Through her testimony, Zaza Evangeline will always be the light, Belonging to All that brings the Good News!

A celebration of Zaza’s life will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock, North Carolina at 2:00pm.
