The office was a little warm today for mid-October. According to RaysWeather.com, the Boone area tied a record for high temperature on Oct. 11. The original record (in the record-keeping era) was 77 degrees, set in 1938.

As RaysWeather.com’s forecast noted, “The air feels more like the beach than ‘the Beech.’” Warmer temps resume on Thursday with a high of 70. Friday is cooler with a high of 63 forecasted. Temperatures in the 70’s return on Saturday and Sunday.
